What’s the best thing to do with that storage Barn that’s not being used? Turn it into a Bespoke Home Cinema room for the whole family to enjoy! That’s exactly what the client requested for this project.

It took careful planning in designing the system; plans were drawn up for a bespoke wooden frame, to ensure the speakers were hidden and to mount the projector screen. Two rows of 4 Frontrow electric reclining seats were used as the customer wanted a full cinema experience. A raised plinth was built to ensure everyone has the best viewing experience.

AS it was a dedicated Cinema room an imposing Vutec fixed 10ft anamorphic audio transparent screen was chosen for excellent picture quality. In addition, a 4k Sony VPL-VW320ES projector was specified, resulting in captivating life-like images.

A Yamaha RXA3060 Receiver partnered with a Rotel RB-1552 MKII Power amp was chosen to drive the Full 7.1.4 (11 speaker) Atmos system .A Panasonic 4k Blu-Ray player were selected for the Home Cinema electronics to deliver a full cinema-quality sound combined with alluring video performance.

Artcoustic speakers were installed throughout for their discreteness and exceptional audio performance.

A Control4 Smart Home automation system and Rako lighting were used for complete control and ease of use. Once completed, the client only has to select from the ‘watch’ list of sources and the system then turns on all the necessary components – , the projector turns on and the lights slowly fade down. The system is VERY intuitive and easy to navigate.

Since the installation has been completed, the Customer has said “The whole family/ grand kids are in the cinema every evening, either watching movies, sports or playing computer games. We hardly go to the Cinema anymore”.

And with a system of this quality, it’s not surprising! Popcorn, anyone?
