Famous for their sound for over three decades, the AE1s are truly legendary speakers. Back in 1987, the original speaker set ground-breaking standards in producing deep, expansive sound from compact cabinets.
The all-metal drivers were also highly innovative at the time and helped in giving these speakers such incisive dynamics. Fast forward nearly 40 years and Acoustic Energy have thoroughly reimagined this classic design, with the AE1 40th Anniversary Edition.
Pinpoint precision from the top end
Just like the original, the AE1 40th Anniversary features a metal dome tweeter. The latest aluminium dome is slightly larger than the original, promoting lower distortion and improved soundstaging. It also features a large rear chamber, reducing resonance for improved dynamics and lifelike precision.
