The roots of TEAC Corporation trace back to the establishment of Tokyo Television Acoustic Company on August 26th, 1953, by brothers Katsuma and Tomoma Tani. Three years later, in 1956, the brothers founded Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company. The culmination of their efforts came in 1964 when they merged these entities to create the TEAC Corporation as it’s known today.
